My Shrine Space

It’s been a chaotic past two months. Due to events in June, William (my boyfriend) and I were homeless for a brief two weeks. With the help of my parents, though, we were able to be in a hotel for that time and find an apartment to live in. And a beautiful apartment it is!

The first exciting part of the new apartment was the balcony:

Take my word: it feels very secluded. Which is so, so helpful…

would it be wrong to print out some tarot cards online, rather than purchase them?
A reply from little-witchh

I don’t know, honestly.
Maybe someone can comment and give a helpful opinion?

maybe an app would suit your needs? Galaxy Tarot is free and pretty informative. It held me over until I got my first deck

Maybe if you print on a type of cardstock for printers? I used to have resources for printable decks… I should look for that…

I’m going to second Galaxy Tarot. I have it and decks, mostly because I like using the app for card meanings.

There are some links to cards that you can print off here (x) and here (x)

I would advise to only do so if you can’t afford the deck, or want to be sure you like the art first, or even to just test to see if you like tarot at all!

Otherwise, try to buy directly from the artist or in a way that supports their work if you enjoy their cards and/or artwork.

The ones I linked to are either out of copyright (rider-Waite and I’ve seen a version of this one you can print and color but I can’t find it again) or are described as being free.

Oh, sorry Ruthless! I know what you linked were—I was referring to the original ask! My apologies on not being clear!

"Pigeon-holing the gods as simply tutelary deities, sovereignty goddesses, smith gods, and so on, ignores the bigger picture. They may be handy labels as a shorthand, but ultimately they are as limiting as they may be convenient. The tales and lore gives us a bigger, better picture, and so can our own experience in honouring and worshipping them. They are far more than the sum of their labels, something that is often overlooked in some neo-pagan paths that come neatly packaged in glossy books, where deities are seen as archetypes, chosen for magical workings because their associations fit the circumstances. This is not something that’s compatible in a reconstructionist practice."

Sandy Denny- Fhir a Bhata

How often haunting the highest hilltop
I scan the ocean, a sail to see
Will it come tonight, love, will it come tomorrow
Or ever come, love, to comfort me

O fare thee well, love, where’er thou be
They call thee fickle, they call thee false one
And seek to change me but all in vain
Thou art my dream yet throughout the dark night
And every moment I watch the main

There’s not a hamlet, too well I know it,

Where you go wandering or stay awhile
But all its old folk you win with talking
And charm its maidens with song and smile

O fare thee well, love, where’er thou be
They call thee fickle, they call thee false one
And seek to change me but all in vain
Thou art my dream yet throughout the dark night
And every moment I watch the main

Doth thou remember the promise made me,
A token plead, a silken gown
That ring of gold with your hair and portrait
That gown and ring I will never own

O fare thee well, love, where’er thou be They call thee fickle, they call thee false one And seek to change me but all in vain Thou art my dream yet throughout the dark night And every moment I watch the main
